About Jenny Claar Foley

Jenny is a Counselling Psychologist with twenty-five years of clinical experience. She holds Chartership as a member of the British Psychological Society. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the regulatory body for counselling and clinical psychologists. Jenny has extensive experience of carrying out psychological assessments and treating adults, children, and young people.

She is qualified in using a number of therapeutic approaches, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Jenny accepts referrals from GPs, Occupational Health Departments, Psychiatrists and Health Insurers in addition to self-referrals. She also accepts legal instructions and carries out psychological assessments and provides expert witness reports for civil and family courts. 

Jenny has a special interest in child welfare issues in the context of separation and divorce and takes instructions from solicitors to carry out assessments and submit reports in this field. She prepares proposals and provides therapeutic interventions in relation to re-establishing relationships between parents and children where there has been a breakdown in contact and/or severance of a parent child relationship. Jenny has completed Certified Expert Witness Training Parts 1 to 4 through the British Psychological Society
